Search across uploaded documents, knowledge bases, and synced repositories to retrieve relevant passages for Freddy assistants.

## Capabilities

- Perform semantic search over indexed documents with quoting, citation, and metadata filters.
- Support ACL-aware retrieval so assistants only see authorized content.
- Provide highlighted snippets and document references for downstream summarization.


## Configuration steps

1. Connect a storage provider (Freddy Storage, S3, Google Drive, Notion, etc.).
2. Choose indexing frequency and retention policies in Freddy Hub.
3. Assign the tool to assistants that require enterprise knowledge access.
